This website, techmonk.com (the "Site"), is operated by Agile Tech, UAB, a private limited company registered in Lithuania (company code 304691080, VAT ID LT100011207013), Ukmergės g. 364-49, LT-14188 Vilnius, Lithuania ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@techmonk.com.
The Site is a free online resource offering reviews and comparisons of consumer products. You do not need an account to use it, and we do not sell anything on the Site, process payments, or collect any registration data. The personal data we process is limited to what is described below.
Cookies. The Site does not set advertising, analytics or other non-essential cookies, and it does not show a cookie banner because none is required. If we introduce advertising or analytics cookies in the future, we will first show a consent notice and update this policy, and such cookies will be set only for visitors who accept it (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). See Section 2 for details.
Server and content-delivery logs. Like almost every website, our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure (Amazon Web Services, including Amazon CloudFront) records technical log entries when pages are requested: your IP address, browser information, the page requested (including any advertising click identifiers such as "gclid" or "msclkid" contained in the address), and the time. We use these logs to operate and secure the Site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and securing the Site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are retained for up to 13 months and then deleted.
Email you send us. If you contact us at the address above, we process your email address, name and the content of your message in order to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle the matter.
We do not use the data above to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell personal data.
The Site currently loads no third-party advertising or analytics tags and sets no cookies of its own. Because no non-essential cookies are used, no cookie notice is shown.
If we begin working with an advertising partner (for example Google), advertising cookies would be set only for visitors who have first accepted a consent notice, and we would name the partner and link to its cookie policy in this section before that happens. Your consent could then be withdrawn at any time through a privacy-choices link that would appear on our pages.
Personal data may be processed on our behalf by:
Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (USA) - hosting and content delivery, including the technical logs described in Section 1.
If we introduce advertising partners in the future, we will list them in this section before any personal data is shared with them.
When you follow a link from the Site to a brand's or retailer's website, that website is operated by a third party and its own privacy policy applies. We encourage you to read it.
Some of the providers above process data in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which Amazon Web Services, Inc. is certified) or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. For transfers from the United Kingdom, the same provider is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and otherwise the UK Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses applies.
Infrastructure logs are kept for up to 13 months. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry. The Site currently sets no cookies, so there are no cookie retention periods to describe; if that changes, they will be added here.
Under the GDPR (and the UK GDPR if you are in the United Kingdom) you have the right to ask us for access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@techmonk.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI); in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office; or the authority of the country where you live.
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add advertising partners or change providers. The current version is always available on this page. If a change is significant, we will make it prominent on the Site.
For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at hello@techmonk.com or by post: Agile Tech, UAB, Ukmergės g. 364-49, LT-14188 Vilnius, Lithuania.
