Have you ever been in a situation that you had some tabs opened in Firefox, and suddenly for any reason, wanted all those same tabs open in Google Chrome. If so, this extension will help you to do so!

Even though you are working on your favorite browser, sometimes, you might have to use a different one for some reason. If you have been in this situation anytime, and wanted to open all the tabs in different browser at a time, then this addon is for you.

Open in Chrome migrates all tabs from Firefox to Google Chrome, in just a jiffy. All you need to do is click on “Tools”>”Open in Google Chrome”. But before that, you need to set the location of you Google Chrome browser under the “Preferences”. It will automatically ask you to do this, when you start it at the beginning.

P.S. Just for curiosity, I tried for other browser than Google Chrome and it worked! The extension can be used not only for Google Chrome, but also for any other browser. Just change the location to your favorite browser, be it Opera or Google Chrome or any other, it will work.

Here are a list of websites that help you to bypass megavideo, videobb, videozer time limits easily. All you need to do is enter the URL and click "Watch". Check out which are those websites!

If you watch movies, TV shows etc. online, then you probably are aware of the time restriction the websites like Megavideo, VideoBB and other similar sites have. You can watch only 72 minutes of video or so.

Usually what I do to bypass this time limit is switch off and on my internet connection. But, there are other ways like deleting cookies and so on.
Sharing content is the basic motive any blogger has. The more the ways to share your content, the more the traffic and reader base. Here is a tool that helps you to create extension for your blog using your feed easily, in just a click!

The basic motive of any blog is to share content with people about any topic. Sharing is done by different means – example, through social networks like Twitter, Facebook or through feeds. Each and every blogger strives hard to make his content reach maximum readers. Feeds are the most popular way of sharing content of your blog with readers. Considering that your content is good, it is obvious that the more easier it becomes to access your content, the more reader base your content will get.

Today in this blog post, I will introduce a tool that will help you to create extension for your blog, which in turn will help your content to be easily discovered. Extension Factory is a tool that helps you to easily create extension of your blog, or rather any blog you want – all you need to do is enter the required blog URL.

It is easy to create an extension of your blog. Go to Extension Factory page. Enter the URL of the blog and click “Create your Extension”. Then, you get a code, copy and add it in your website. Or, if you want to test the extension first, you can also do it by click on “Test Extension” button. If you are a wordpress user, then there is a plugin that does the same job. You might have noticed that on my blog.

The tool basically takes the RSS feed URL of a blog and creates an extension using that feed. The tool supports Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE. It creates a simple dialog box interface containing feeds of your blog posts. Whenever a new post is updated on your blog, the extension shows a notification (See picture below).

The extension has an option to bookmark posts too. Also, if a blog has more than one feed, you can select only the feeds you want, from the “Options” tab.

If you want anymore information about this tool, visit their FAQ here.

Don’t you think getting feeds of your favorite blog right on your browser would be great? So, IMHO this a simple yet good tool. What do you think about this tool? Would you use it for your blog? Or how would you use it? Drop in your comments below.

Problem loading new Adsense interface in Firefox? Here is a simple tutorial that help you to solve it!

I recently decided to switch to the new Google Adsense interface, but when I tried to do that in my Firefox 5, I could not. When I clicked on the “Try the new Adsense interface”, I just got a blank blue page. I tried refreshing the page multiple times, but in vain. If you too are encountering the same problem, here is the solution.

The problem is with neither Adsense nor Firefox. It is with the Adblock Plus- an addon for Firefox. It is blocking the new Adsense interface from loading. To solve this problem, disable the Adblock Plus for the Google Adsense page and try again. It will work. If you are not sure how to disable Adblock Plus for a particular page, here is the tutorial:

Go to the adsense page which is not loading, i.e., the blank blue page.

Click on the ABP icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen.

Select “Disable on this page only”.

Reload the page. That’s it!

Now, you can use the new interface without any problems. However, I would request you to do another simple job. Please report this issue to the Adblock Plus, so that they can look into it. Here is how to do that:

Click on the ABP icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Click on “Report issue on this page” option and follow the steps.

If the above solution doesn’t work for you, then I would suggest you to run Firefox in “Safe Mode“, if it works, then try disabling extensions, that you feel doubtful and try again. If the problem still persists you can always comment here, I will respond with whatever help I can do to solve it.

UPDATE: I submitted this issue, and I think they alread have a report on this problem. You can see the cause and solution for this problem here.

A userscript that turns the ugly black bar into the old white bar. My first userscript!

Recently, Google rolled out new look to its homepage. This new look got mixed reactions from the people. Many people disliked the whole new look. Some people disliked the black bar, but liked the other parts of the new look. So, I thought I would write a simple greasemonkey script to change the black bar into the old white one.

It changes only the top navigation bar to the old type. The remaining will remain as it is. Go ahead and download it.

Here is the user script: Google BlacktoWhite Bar

P.S. If you don’t know what greasemonkey is, then please refer to this post. For Google Chrome users, you can directly download the script. It will be automatically identified as an extension.

FIFA World Cup 2010 is the hottest search on internet now. Many people are viewing football matches online, while some are tracking only scores. If you are also searching for a tool that helps you to keep track of the football matches going on while doing other work, this is for you!

Footie Fox is a firefox addon that helps you to follow live football match scores, right from your browser. The addon helps you to keep track (check) on the scores of any football match, that has happened before, or happening at present. The FootieFox addon sits in the corner of your browser’s (Firefox) status bar and keeps itself updating automatically. You can select any match easily by right clicking the Footie Fox icon in the status bar, or even in the “Options” menu.

This addon is not specifically for the current FIFA World Cup 2010. It has a collection of around 200 leagues and cups of 60 countries, on which you can keep a track on, right from your browser, whenever there is a match going on!

You can also check out it’s official website for other details here. And don’t forget to express your views on this addon here.

Tired of changing the Firefox Personas everyday manually? Then, Personas Rotator is an addon that automatically changes the personas for your browser. Go ahead and check out!

[Firefox]- If you are a newbie and don’t know what Personas are, they are just like dresses to your, otherwise plain Firefox browser. You can install any persona, or in other words theme for your Firefox browser from its official gallery. I really like these personas and would have enjoyed using them, if only I had a better PC. If you too are fond of these, then here is something exciting, an addon that helps you to change the personas automatically!

Personas Rotator is a Firefox addon that changes the personas automatically frequently. So, your browser can now wear different personas automatically without a single drop of sweat from you.

The Personas Rotator is an addon which changes the personas at a particular frequency. By default, it is kept at 60 seconds, which you can change in the options. The addon selects the perosnas from all categories by default. But, you can select anyone you want in the options menu.

For this addon to work, you must have another extension installed on your Firefox browser called “Personas Plus”. This can also be downloaded from the Firefox addons site. However, there would be no need of this as the Personas Rotator addon automatically prompts you to install it.

Bonus Tip: How To Enable Autofilling In URL Bars In Firefox (Like In Chrome)

Go ahead and try this amazing addon for Firefox. I am sure you will like it. And also, do you know any addon similar to this for Google Chrome? Do share your comments here. They add great value to this post!

The IPL fever is on! This season, you can even watch IPL on Youtube. Based on that, I found a trick that can help you to create your own IPL desktop application. Check out how to do it!

If you remember, long back when Google Chrome was launched there was a very interesting feature in it. It was called “Application shortcuts”. As far as I know, many people don’t use it or even know about it.

Creating an “Application shortcut” for a webpage lets you access that webpage as an application in a separate standalone window right from your desktop with a click. This is one of the unique features in Google Chrome.

Advantages of Creating Application Shortcuts

There are many advantages of creating application shortcuts.

You can visit your “most visited” sites easily right from your desktop.

There are no address bars in the applications to disturb you.

The “Application shortcuts can be placed anywhere you like, on Desktop, in Start Menu or even in Quick Launch bar.

So, knowing the advantages of this feature, let us know how we can create an application for IPL.

Creating an Application for IPL

In creating an application for IPL, we just take advantage of the Youtube. We already know about the live telecast of all the matches on Youtube’s IPL Channel. So, we can create a application shortcut for that channel.

To create an application,

Go to Youtube’s IPL channel.

Make sure that you have selected the same tab and click on the “Control the Current Page” button on the top right corner in Google Chrome.

Click on the button highlighted

Select the first option in the drop down menu- “create application shortcuts…”

A new window will popup with the title “Gears”. In that select the option where you want to place the application shortcut.

Check the options where you want to see the shortcut

You are done. You just created an awesome and simple application for the IPL channel. Good job!

Now, click on the shortcut and it will open a standalone window in Google Chrome which loads the Youtube’s IPL channel.

This is how your IPL application looks!

Hope, you enjoy watching the IPL matches in your new application. Share it with your friends if you liked this trick. You can even browse some more tricks and tutorials I have written.
