Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popularly used web browsers at present. I was just exploring some features and I came to know about some of the “about:” tags like “about:config” that can be used in Firefox.
Get Restore Session Window Back:
When the Firefox session gets ended suddenly or abruptly it backs up the tabs that were open and gives a restore option. Many of us often ignore that window and start a new session and only later we come to know that it was an important session. If you are suffering with this problem then here is the solution.
In the address bar, type the following tag, “about:sessionrestore”. This will direct you to the window where you can restore your early session even if you had started a new session. Now you can click on the restore session button and your session will be restored.
Getting The Memory Details As In Google Chrome:
In the same way as I told above you can also know about the cache memory details in Firefox. For this the tag is “about:cache”. From this you can know the amount of cache that has been downloaded form each page and also other details about cache memory. But, however the interface is not as good as in Google Chrome.
Likewise, there are other common “about:” tags like “about:blank” ( for a blank page) and “about:config” (for firefox config editor)
Please do fell free to comment about any other tags you know below. Also take a look at some of the interesting and useful Opera 10 Tricks and Tweaks.
