Google has been the most amazing word in the whole web. There is no person on the web who doesn’t know the word Google. How did Google start?? Who started it? How did it become famous?? Latest news from Google?? Get all the things on a single page

Before telling you what I have found out let me myself tell you the introduction to the history of Google. Google started out with a domain name Back-Rub which was started by Larry and Sergey, at present, The Stanford University, Science grad students. This was in 1995. Later, they got a new domain Google.com. This started the entry of Google in the internet. It has developed to create a new Google OS right now!! How Amazing!!!

So, the Google quest is amazing to know about. I have found a Google page where you get the complete time-line from back rub to the Google Android powered phone. It’s called the Google Tenth Birthday However, it is not yet updated for the latest news (Google OS). But Google has got a amazing history…That’s for sure!!!:)

Blogs with high traffics put their web traffic stats on their blog to boast about their blogs infront of other visitors. They show the recent visitor name and photo or just the list of their places. Here is a tool that will help these boasters to get more advantage of their traffic.

Populatetheweb.com offers the bloggers a tool that helps them to show-off their traffic in a more innovative way. The tool is called “webbymap“. This provides a map in which the it shows the locations of the visits the second they enter into your site. This uses what is called Geo- technology. You have complete power to change whatever options or preferences you like. For example, if you don’t want sounds, then you can disable sounds and also the markings of the visitors location can be changed. This is a free widget, which you can add into your site.

Note:This is free because it’s a basic version and it shows a small ad beside the map. However, to get higher version you have to pay a certain amount.

Searching through Wikipedia is often very cumbersome. One has to type the exact keyword or the title of the page being searched. So this often makes it a little useless. The other thing is that Wikipedia is very slow in loading…. I mean in slow connections. So this also is a setback. Powerset helps you to overcome these setbacks.

What is Powerset??

Powerset is a online search engine hosted by Microsoft. To be more specific it is a Wikipedia search engine and this helps people to navigate through the Wikipedia article easily even by typing long keywords which is not possible in Wikipedia.

The next feature is its unique feature of listing the information. Let me tell you about this by giving an example, if you enter “Google” in the search box you will get a intro to the article and then it will give you a tabular column. In this tabular column there will be related information about Google like 1) Used 2) Offered 3) Acquired. The first one means info about the things used by Google. The second one, in a similar way gives you the results about the thing that are offered by Google. The third one tells about the things that are acquired by the Google. This helps you to analyse the Wikipedia articles more efficiently.

Moving on to the next feature, The Search Panel: After you enter into the Wikipedia article you will get a panel on the right side. Here you can see the contents of the wikipedia page. This panel remains on the window screen even while scrolling to help users for easy navigation.

You can also search for the facts that are present in the page by going to the “factz” tab at the top. You get all the facts arranged in a tag like structure. You can look for these facts in the articles by clicking on them. For your easy navigation navigation you can set the panel to the option “show facts”.

So, this feature really helps you to get a thorough view of Wikipedia so much that you may not have got it in the Wikipedia itself!!!

Note: When you search for anything in Bing then you will get all your keywords highlighted which does not happen usually.

Microsoft Bing helps the users to compare the results they get in Bing with Google. This is called as the search challenge and it helps the visitors to analyse the information they get from Bing and Google.

The Bing’s decision engine has launched a tools that is called as the “Search Challenge” that provides two windows: 1) The Google Search Engine 2) The Bing Search Engine.

You can search for the information about the topics that are provided in the tabular column or write your own search query in both the search engines. This helps you to analyse the results that you get from the Bing Search Engine as well as the Google Search Engine.

Google translator is now integrated with wikipedia and knol. You can translate any Wikipedia article into your own language or any other language you want within seconds.

This is a new addition to the google translator. It also adds some more file formats like word document and .txt formats too. You can translate and even save the document online. It also enables you to share your translated documents. This means that others can view your translated documents. You can set the visibility to “everyone” or specific group.

When you save your documents in sharing, when others search a transaltion of similar kind then they need not do the same work again and again.

So, Google becoming so developed it looks as if we have a desktop on the net.

The Great Firewall of China (often known as GFC) haas blocked many popular social networking sites. The China government “Love” has also ordered the computer vendors to add web blocking softwares to the computers. So, Chinese government becoming so strict, there is no other way like hacking etc. I have brought some of the sites as alternatives to the sites that are blocked by GFC.

First let me give bring to your knowledge about the sites that are blocked in China. Here is the list and its alternatives:

Running on a slow internet connection of 128kbps, 140kbps or 256kbps??? Then here is a simple solution to overcome this problem. All you have to do is visit this address and you will get a virtual mobile phone on which you can experience a lot speeder browsing then the normal.

Actually the link I said above is the link to the Opera official website where they have given a demo of their new “Opera Mini” browser that is used on the mobile phones. So, I thought of trying out this demo. It gives you a complete browsing function on a virtual mobile through the Opera Mini browser. As the virtual mobile loads mobile phone modified websites, it amazingly fast to browse and you will have a fine browsing experience.

Here is a tool that will help you to send files about 250-350MB online within minutes. It is very useful for people to transfer the files from one computer to another without any device like USB or CD-Rom. The topic I am discussing here is about a tool called Pipe Bytes.

Why does one need this?

1) When one does not have any device to transfer the files from one computer to another.(Of course, this can be done by mailing but it’s time consuming when compared to this.)

Create Your Own Google Custom Search Engine For Free | Some Imteresting Tips

Now you can create your own customized search engine for no cost. You can also add this search engine to your blog also. All you have to do is go to Google Create Custom Search Engine and there click on “create custom search engine” . From there follow the wizard and you will get your custom search engine.

I have some tips for you here while creating your search engine. While creating. you will be asked to enter the URLs of the web pages that you want Google to search for. There instead of entering domain name as “www.mydomain.com” (without inverts) enter it as “*.mydomain.com/*”(Without inverts). Here asterisk sign acts as a wildcard and tells your Goolgle search engine to search even for “mydomain.com” rather than “www.mydomain.com”.

The disadvantage is that Google puts ads on the search pages, but I think that’s not much of a disadvantage.

The most awaited Search Engine that is said to take over the Google Search Engine has named its domain as “www.decisionengine.com“. You can go into your browser’s address bar and type in the said domain and you will be in the Bing search Engine. (Yet to be released)

It says that search engines are not just to search, it’s a search for making decisions. Microsoft Search engine (Bing) helps you in making such decisions. It helps especially for people who buy online, book online tickets for flights etc. This new search engine gives more descriptive results about the flight timings, fares and also the prices of different products.

You also get latest user reviews about the products you choose in the search engine itself and that would help the buyer to make a more accurate decision. Well, according to me Microsoft Search Engine “Bing” will give it’s users a completely new experience provided it is more faster than Google.
